This year's annual lecture presented by Bromley Town Twinning Association will provide an opportunity to sample life in Germany without leaving Bromley!
The BTTA is delighted to have Professor Alan Mayhew as its guest speaker this year who will give an illustrated talk on living life the German way. The title of his lecture, which is open to the public and free of charge, is Understanding Germany and the Germans.
Professor Mayhew, of the University of Sussex, is an economist specialising in European integration. He is an adviser to the European Commission in Brussels and also to a number of European governments. He is very well qualified to do so, having studied at the Universities of Munster and Gottingen and a frequent writer on German issues. In his lecture, Professor Mayhew will comment upon the German people, their politics, the re-unification, the workplace, the aspirations, the culture, the humour, the cuisine, the leisure pursuits ~ and, no doubt, the Euro!
The Association's lecture this year will be held on Wednesday 12th October at 7.30pm. The venue is Bromley Baptist Church, Park Road, Bromley BR1 3HJ.
