Bristol Street Motors Orpington Ford is supporting a junior football team named after one of its most iconic cars in a new sponsorship deal with Orpington FC Under 11 Mustangs.

The South East London-based dealership is providing the team of thirteen with much needed new training kit, adorned with the Bristol Street Motors Orpington Ford logo.

Orpington FC has more than 20 youth teams aged from under 7s to under 21s playing in the South East London & Kent leagues. The club also has four adult teams, including a women's squad and a special education needs team as well as their Saturday morning soccer school for all ages.

The team visited the dealership to show colleagues at Bristol Street Motors Orpington Ford their new training kit, and to see the range of the dealership’s Ford Mustang cars.

David Murphy, general manager at Bristol Street Motors Orpington Ford said: “It’s incredibly important to get involved with community projects, and celebrating the talent of a young, local football team with support is a great way to do so. Having a 9 year old myself I know how hard the volunteers work to provide the best training and all round facilities as they can – this will give the boys a real confidence boost.

“We’re proud to share our logo and the Ford Mustang name with the team, and we look forward to hearing about their upcoming games.”

Gary Young, team secretary of the under 11 Mustangs said: “We are delighted that Bristol Street Motors have agreed support to provide our 13 player squad with much needed, new quality training tracksuits.

“In today’s world, investment in grass roots youth football is extremely valuable to us and the management team, the players and the parents are very grateful to Mr Dave Murphy general manager of Bristol Street Motors Orpington Ford for helping us.”
