A local businesswoman has opened a children’s and young family concept store at 242 High Street, Beckenham.

Ollie and Dollie specialises in unique children's and young family goods from independent suppliers. All products have something remarkable, unusual, design led, handmade, or thoughtful about them.

Goods include fair trade knitted toys, handmade cards, storage boxes, hand sewn personalised pictures, books, hand poured candles, keepsake furniture and jewellery, miniature mice and bunnies and wooden toys. Many of the items on sale are organic, handmade or fair trade and support small independent traders to showcase their work.

Owner Manda Warner, said: “I named the shop with love after my 4-year-old granddaughter Dolcie who came up with the initial drawing for our logo. Dolcie drew a picture of herself and friend Ollie which gave me the inspiration to develop the Ollie and Dollie concept. I knew I would use Dolcie's drawing one day..!”

The store is running a #jointheclub loyalty scheme where shoppers can save money on future purchases every time they shop.

A grand opening will be held on Saturday, 28 October from 12-3pm with drinks, light bites, balloons and surprises. All are welcome and entry is free.

When: Saturday 28 October, 12-3pm – ribbon cutting with Ollie and Dolcie at 12pm!
Where: Ollie and Dollie, 242 High Street, Beckenham, BR3 3XP
